For today’s work it Wednesday, I’m reviewing the Heat Tool. This ties in beautifully with another one of my swaps for OnStage. The Heat Tool is $30. It melts embossing powder and Heat & Stick Powder. The Stampin Up Heat Tool is slim, sleek, quiet, and easy to hold. It has 2 heat settings: low for drying ink, high for heat-setting powder. It also has a protective plastic tip to cover the hot metal end. The Heat Tool is must-have item for … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday – Heat Tool
Happy Monday!
Only two more sleeps until I leave for OnStage on Wednesday! Yay! This week, I'm sharing my swaps that I'm taking with me to OnStage. I have to be honest...making swaps this year was a little tricky. In past years, the retiring products list would come out weeks before we left and we'd get a small preview list that we could purchase from prior to Convention. This year, the retiring products list comes out after Convention - same with the … [Read more...] about Happy Monday!
Five Minute Fri-Yay!
Today’s cards uses the Birthday Bouquet Suite. I love the colors used in the Birthday Bouquet Pattern Paper - Blushing Bride, Mossy Meadow, and Mint Macaron! The paper is so pretty that I almost don't want to cover it up. I love the clean look of the white background on a card, but sometimes it looks too bare. Using washi tape or a border pattern helps to fill up some of that space. And by using muted colors, it won't be overwhelming on … [Read more...] about Five Minute Fri-Yay!
Work It Wednesday – Exacto Knife
I had to share this awesome idea I received from Lyndi at our last Demonstrator Meeting. This was the swap she made for our last get together. I thought this would be a perfect share for Work It Wednesday since it uses a specific tool: the exacto knife. Stampin Up no longer sells an exacto knife, but you can find them at craft stores or office supply stores. They come in lots of styles and shapes. Here is a picture of the card closed. Notice … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday – Exacto Knife
Is it Monday already?
Today's post is going to be short. I've been super busy creating projects that will be on display at OnStage next week! Time is flying by and I still have a couple more to make. I absolutely can't wait to share those projects here, but it will have to wait until Stampin Up gives me the okay. I made this card several months ago but didn't get a chance to share it here. This card is not one of the items that will be on display next week. Want to … [Read more...] about Is it Monday already?
Five Minute Friday
Hooray for another Five Minute Friday! I love the weekly challenge of coming up a project that can be replicated in 5 minutes or less. As I’ve said before, with five minute cards, you can’t use every supply you own. That really helps when it comes to making these cards because you only want to use a few select items. My creative process starts with the stamp set when it comes to these cards. Then I pick a card base and colors. I am a big fan of … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday
Work It Wednesday – Washi Tape
Today’s Tool is Washi Tape! If you’ve checked out Pinterest or any craft blogs, you’ll notice a new syndrome that’s become very common. It’s called Washi Hoarding. This is how it starts… you’re in a craft store and you happen upon the Wall O’ Washi Tape. It all looks so pretty in those fabulously organized rows. You decide you’re going to buy one roll. Hmmm, but which one to get? There’s two you really like. Actually they are not that expensive. … [Read more...] about Work It Wednesday – Washi Tape
One last Easter Treat
Just a quick post today. A couple weeks ago I shared an Easter treat bag that I'd come up with. You can see it here. Here is another version of this treat bag with a cute chickie stamp. So cute! He looks like he has a fuzzy belly! I love these adorable honeycombs. They come in white, blue, and pink. I colored the white ones yellow. Here are all the Easter treats I made for all of the place settings today. The little chickie is from … [Read more...] about One last Easter Treat
