All The Candy

Did you know that Americans spend $1.9 billion dollars on Halloween candy every year? That’s $1,900,000,000. On Candy. Oh. My. Goodness. That’s a lot of candy.

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking where are you going to put all that candy before you eat it pass it out. Well, I have a couple ideas for candy storage. Today’s project is an adorable wood coffin that I’ve decorated. I found the plain coffin box at a local store in their dollar bin.

This is a really quick project to recreate. I traced the outline of the coffin onto my pattern paper and then cut it out. I stamped the banner on Basic Gray. To get the layer with the orange, cut a second banner in Pumpkin pie and then cut it in half. Then glue it to the back of the Basic Gray banner. The ghosts are stamped and cut out.

The box is rather well made and even comes with a clasp to keep it closed.

I decorated the inside as well with our Halloween paper. You can see Mr. Skeleton peeking out there among the candy. I glued him to the inside using my hot glue gun. As you eat the candy, you can see more and more of Mr. Skeleton.
