Adulting and Magnolias

Last weekend was one in a million.. both kids were working or otherwise occupied and there was NO soccer. Instead of spending the entire weekend working in my studio, I knew I really needed to tackle some long-neglected tasks around the house. Ever have a clean laundry basket that just doesn’t seem to get put away for weeks? No? Hmm, must be just me. Well, I finally got it done. Plus I dealt with those two pesky counters where “stuff” just accumulates. Plus a few other odds and ends around the house that have been waiting to be addressed. Yay me for adulting!

Not only did I take care of a couple projects, I also cleared off my desk in my office. It really wasn’t that bad, but it’s amazing seeing that much empty desk space. Perfect timing too because the Holiday Catalog pre-order started yesterday and my order is on the way!

One of my tasks in cleaning up my desk was to do something with those bits of card pieces that hadn’t been used yet, which leads me to today’s card. I made a bunch of these magnolias awhile back, but didn’t use all of them. I left it out on my desk intending to use and now it’s done.

This card is probably one that should be hand delivered due to the thickness of the flower and all of the layers.
