Since it’s Monday, I thought you’d like some flowers to start your week off right. Last week, when I was making cards from the Frosted Floral bundle, I ended up with a ton of flowers and greenery. I knew I had plenty to make at least one more card. Actually, it turns out I have enough to make several more cards. I love when a stamp set is so easy to use.
To make the bouquet, I started by arranging the leaves on the bottom. Then added the branches on top. The flowers were added last. Each layer is held together with glue dots and dimensionals. Once I had the arrangement I was happy with, I wrapped linen thread around the bunch and tied it in a knot.
For today’s card, I wanted a subtle background. I stamped the branches in Versamark ink and then used clear embossing powder and my heat tool to create the background. I sponged just a subtle bit of Mint Macaron ink so you can see the branches that I stamped. You can see the background here.To get the multi-colored flowers, I inked them first with the Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride, and then I colored the stems with my Tranquil Tide and Mint Macaron markers. The pearls are from the Artisan pack, but they didn’t match the Blackberry Bliss flowers or the greenery. I colored them using my Stampin Blends markers and since it’s an alcohol marker, I know it’s permanent and won’t rub off.
Don’t worry, I’ll move on to some other stamp sets now that I’ve talked you into buying this one. 🙂 Check back Wednesday for some Halloween goodies!
