This past Saturday, I was a vendor at the Just Crop Retreat again. I so enjoy working these events and seeing the ladies every few weeks. On Friday, I shared one of the two make & takes that I offered here. Today I have my second make & take for you, which uses the Cool Treats Suite of products.
The Cool Treats Stamp Set and Frozen Treats framelit dies will be around for another year. However, the Tasty Treats designer paper is on the Retirement List and will be going away at the end of May if it doesn’t sell out before then. The paper is on sale for $7.80 right now (reduced from $13) and I suspect it will be sold out in just a few more days since it’s already on the Low Inventory List. And you many not have noticed that even though the stamp set and dies will be around for another year, the bundled sale pricing is retiring at the end of May too. So, even though the individual products will be continuing, you’ll no longer be able to get the 10% discount by buying them in a bundle. 
I used the sentiment “You’re Cool” on this card because it can mean so many different things. This card would make a great Father’s Day card. Most of the dads I know like ice cream so you know they’ll love getting an ice cream from you. Even if it’s just a paper ice cream. And paper ice creams are guaranteed low calorie.
Here are a couple tips when making this card:
- I used Peekaboo Peach for my ice cream. The ice cream and swirls is actually two different stamps. To get the two-toned look, you’ll ink the ice cream base and then stamp off before stamping on your white card stock. Then the swirls will be stamped with full strength ink.
- When I need my die cutting to be exact, I use a bit of washi tape to hold my dies in place while running them through my Big Shot. Sometimes, even with the Magnetic Platform, the dies will shift just slightly and my die cut will be off. Taping the dies down with washi keeps them from moving. And the washi will not leave a residue on your stamped image.
Be sure to order your stamps and dies now while you can still get them for the bundled pricing. And be sure to add the coordinating Tasty Treats paper to your order too. Once it sells out it is gone forever.
