Last night was our monthly Downline Meeting for my group. And if you weren’t there, you are missed out on seeing all the brand new goodies they gave us at OnStage (our Stampin Up Convention) last week. I wait to do my recap post here until after I’ve shared the new goodies with my Downline first. Don’t worry though, I’ll post the recap of OnStage sometime next week.
Today’s project is my swap from our meeting last night and our theme was Christmas. This card uses the new set Smitten Mitten. I love the “warm and fuzzy sentiment” on the mitten. That’s what the Holidays are all about – that warm and fuzzy feeling.
To make this card, start by stamping the flowers in Versamark ink on the Crumb Cake background. Then add the punched border behind the pattern paper strip. The mittens are stamped and die cut. Can I tell you how much I love when we have dies that match the stamp set? Oh my goodness, it makes it so much easier to make projects. I added the twine to the card before gluing down the mittens. The dimensional under the mitten on the right holds the twine in place.
Yes, I’m still making Christmas cards. I still have a couple orders to complete. Did you know that I can make your cards for you? If you haven’t placed your order yet, there is still a little time to get your order in. Just let me know what you are looking for and I can design a card to fit your needs.
A brand new product?!? Say what?!? Yes, the Stampin Blends markers are available to purchase starting November 1st. The Stampin Blends markers are alcohol based markers and they help you create beautiful coloring with shading. Check out the Orchid in this picture. It is stunning. You really get the depth of the flower with the lighter and darker areas. With a little bit of practice, you’ll have these markers mastered in no time.
