Today, I’m joining The What’s New at Stampin Up Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with exciting ideas to share with you.
Today we are sharing cards for the men in your life. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.
My card today uses the Classic Garage Suite from the Occasions Catalog. This stamp set is very versatile and includes several different sentiments for different occasions, like birthdays, celebrating, and Father’s Day. Plus all those fabulous car images and the coordinating die set. You can make dozens of different car cards for your favorite guy.
This style of card is called a “gate fold”. This style is super easy to make plus still has a wow factor. The hardest part is scoring the two side panels just right. This card base is 8.5×5.5″. You’ll score just a smidge over 2 1/8th” from each end and fold those in.
You’ll want to use a belly band around the middle of the card to hold it closed. When I use belly bands, I put the seam on the front side rather than the back. The label on the front is going to cover the seam anyway.
I am a fan of red cars. My very first car was a red two-door 1980 Buick Skyhawk. I’ve also owned a red mini van, but that was quite a bit less sporty. Although you can’t argue with 15 cupholders – you’ll never run out of places to put your drink.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card! As you go through the What’s New Hop, be sure to leave comments on each page in the Hop letting us know what you liked. To get to the next page in the Hop, click the Next button below to see Linda‘s amazing work.

May’s Paper Pumpkin kit was specially designed by Stampin Up’s founder Shelli Gardner. The kit includes an exclusive photopolymer stamp set, paper and crafting materials to create 12 cards (3 cards of 4 unique designs), 12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes, and a Classic Stampin’ Spot. Coordinating colors for this kit are Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla.
Since our Paper Pumpkin kits have been so popular, Stampin Up is trying a brand new kind of kit. The Everything Is Rosy kit will be available for the month of May (or while supplies last). This is a fun new collection of products that all coordinate together – stamps, dies, paper, ribbon, and embellishments. There are no instructions in the kit so you are limited only by your imagination.
New stamp pads means new storage! Check out our brand new Storage line. This product line is expected to be very popular and may sell out quickly. But don’t worry, our new Storage will be available through the next Catalog period so you’ll have the opportunity to get it later if you miss out on this first round.

Love your fun fold! And the inside image is great… especially the smoke coming out from behind the car!
