Today, I’m joining The What’s New at Stampin Up Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with exciting ideas to share with you. Today we will feature products from the Occasions Catalog. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.
We’re about a month into quarantine and all I can think about is taking a nice little vacation to Hawaii… sitting and enjoying the sun and watching the palm trees sway in the warm, gentle breeze. It doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon, so I unburied my photos from my trip to Hawaii last Summer. No time like the present to get started on that scrapbook.
Most of my scrapbooking nowadays consists of the project life style cards with pocket pages. I love how quickly pocket pages are to assemble. This Suite also includes a matching Memories & More card pack. I will be using that for most of my Hawaii album, but some pictures really deserve their own page.
I used the Tropical Oasis Suite for this project. The palm tree pattern paper is just the right shade of green to match the green in my photo. I used the coordinating Coastal Weave embossing folder on the brown card stock to add a bit of texture to the page. Then I used my sponge to rub ink across the card stock to enhance the look of the embossing.
The aloha die cut is included in the set of coordinating dies. The twine is the braided burlap trim, which I frayed and pulled apart to make wider. The frayed burlap matches the beach-y theme of the page. The leaves are also part of the die set. These two dies both emboss and cut, which makes the leaves look a little more realistic.
Those two kids are stuck here in quarantine with me. I bet they’d love to hit the beach really soon too. For now, I’ll just enjoy the memories as I work on my scrapbook.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about how to put this together, just let me know.

If that Coastal Weave embossing folder isn’t the most perfect way to tie the whole page together, I don’t know what is! Thanks for reminding us to use our supplies to capture memories, too.
