We survived another week at home and everyone is still alive, we still have food, and more importantly, we still have Toilet paper. Actually, it hasn’t been that bad…lots of time with the kids, lots of time with my assistant Frannie, and lots of time to just be.
I know for so many people, being at home constantly is really hard. I can appreciate that. As someone who has felt like she’s on a never ending treadmill raising two teens on her own, I’m so glad for the forced pause on life. I’m looking at this month, and however many months we have to do this, as a huge blessing that I get to spend so much time with my kids as they prepare to move away to college next Fall.
Today, I’m sending prayers out to all of you that are already climbing the walls. This too shall end. Someday.
If it weren’t for the Quarantine, I would only see the kids in passing for days on end. This has been a valuable time for reconnecting with my kids and I’m treasuring every minute. In another month, I may be singing a different tune. But probably not. I’m always looking for the positive in the situation.
