Today, I’m back with a card using more of the Pleased As Punch pattern paper. This paper coordinates beautifully with the Under My Umbrella Bundle. For my umbrella and rain boots, I stamped directly on the pattern paper. I used the coordinating punch for the umbrella, but I did hand cut the boots.
For the focal point of the card, I die cut the frame from the Nature’s Thoughts Die set. I wanted the rain drops to look like they’re fading away the closer they get to the bottom. Starting at the top of the card, I inked the raindrops and stamped across. Then I reinked the stamp, stamped off once, and then stamped the card. Then reinked again, stamped off twice, and then stamped the card. As you can see the raindrops at the bottom are very faint.
The ribbon is colored using the Flirty Flamingo blends marker. When you color your ribbon with ink or markers, you do need to allow time to dry sufficiently or you will end up with ink on your project.
I have a busy weekend of getting the house ready to start restoration next week. So far, they are telling me they start on Wednesday and I will need to empty out my craft room by Tuesday. Yikes! I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me packing boxes and moving stuff around to get ready for the Pod on Monday. Wish me luck… I’m going to need it.
