We are inching towards the First Day of Fall, but it’s still hot here. Southern California typically gets it’s heat mid-August and it goes straight through til October 31st. Our Fall weather typically starts November 1st. Frankly, I would love a little cool weather right now.
One of things that we don’t get here in Southern California is those amazing Fall colors. We just don’t get cold enough for the trees to turn those bright, bold colors. I usually turn to my stamps and paper to get those beautiful Fall leaves.
The Totally Trees stamp set in the Holiday Catalog lets me stamp my trees in any color that I desire. This set has a wide variety of trees, plenty to make everyone happy. I love the short, chubby tree and today’s card shows it off. The pattern paper is from the Petals and Paisley Designer Series Pack. It’s a busy card, but all the different colors are cohesive because the fine, multicolor stripes really tie in all the colors of the trees together.
This card was inspired by one I found online made by another Demonstrator. I changed it up by using slightly different colors and adding the ribbon.
