Time spent with friends is time well spent

Friendships are amazing. Friends celebrate the good things with you. And they are there to help you through the not so good things. They understand if you forget to call them back. A friend will tell you if you put your shirt on inside out or if you have spinach stuck in your teeth. Our friends help make our lives complete. And today’s card sums up that feeling so well: life is so much better with you in it.

Today’s card is made with the Petal Palette stamp set and colored using our brand new Brusho product. I stamped the flowers in Versamark and then used white embossing powder and heat embossed it. I tried a new technique with the Brusho this time. I sprinkled it onto an acrylic block and then used my aqua painter to color in the flowers and leaves. The leaves are colored using the Moss Green and flowers are colored using a mix of Yellow and Gamboge. Gamboge is an orange-y color. I also sponged a very light coat of the Moss Green around the background to soften the look.
I used the aqua painter to color the sentiment piece as well, mixing the Yellow and Gamboge again. I’m amazed at how well the two mixed Brushos match the Peekaboo Peach of the card stock and the ribbon. Brusho is my favorite new product out of this Catalog.
