The reality of love is that it might take you a couple tries to get it right. First you try one thing, and if that doesn’t work, you try something new. Or you try the same thing and it still doesn’t work. Sometimes it takes doing it over and over – the wrong way – to actually realize you’re doing it the wrong way.
And let me just say… I was not loving the Lovely Flowers Edgelits border this past weekend. I tried several different variations on that gorgeous flower border die in the set and kept working with it over and over. Below is just a couple of my attempts and with each one, they just got worse and worse. About the time I was ready to pull my hair out, I decided to step away from the die. And you know what? Sometimes that’s all you need. You need to step away from the problem and let it go.
When I came back to my border die, this is what I came up with. I think it turned out so well. The border really needs to be the focal point in the card. Pattern paper just made it too busy and you lost the amazing-ness of the beautiful flowers. The reality of love is that sometimes it’s so simple that you don’t even see it right in front of you.
Since I had sooo many attempts, I had plenty of pieces to work with so I came up with a second version.
I think both look nice. Which is your favorite? The white or the red? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll select one person to send the card to.
And since it’s Sale-abration, for every $50 you spend (pre-tax/shipping) you earn a free item from the Sale-abration Catalog. Click the Order Online button on the left and fill your cart.
If you’ve been on the fence about becoming a Demonstrator, now is the perfect time to sign up. Sale-abration started earlier this month and we have some great rewards that are available. There are two options for signing up: Option 1 spend $99 and select $175 in products to come in your kit; Option 2 is spend $129 and select $175 in products for your kit and get that amazing new Craft & Carry Tote Bag! I was able to get one of these tote bags last month and it is so great. I love that it fits my paper trimmer and has a ton of pockets for so many things.

Hi Diane…your Lovely Flowers edgelits cards are just beautiful. I have been avoiding that die…have used others in the set. Need to break it out!
Missed you in Orlando (hard to find anyone in a crowd of 6,000!!) Hopefully you will be in SLC in April.

I like both of them, however I’d probably make the red one. Both are beautiful.

Thanks Linda! I think the red is my favorite too.
