Hooray! It’s finally here! Stampin Up’s brand new Paper Trimmer is now available for purchase. I’ve been using it now for a couple weeks and I’m pleased with the results.
The new Trimmer has a taller blade, which is great for a couple reasons. The first reason is that the blade will actually last longer than our previous blade. The second reason is that since it lasts longer, it’s more economical since you’ll need fewer replacement blades. And the best reason is that the taller blade allows for cutting multiple pieces of card stock or pattern paper at the same time. I was able to cut two layers of card stock at the same time and three layers of pattern paper with no problems whatsoever.
Here are some features of the new trimmer.
- 15-3/8 x 8 x 1/2” (39 x 20.3 x 1.3 cm)
- Includes 1 cutting blade and 1 scoring blade.
- Includes imperial and metric measurements.
- Ruler and grid protected by durable plastic cover.
- Point on cutting handle for precise measuring.
- Right-side grid for cutting thin strips.
The new Trimmer is lighter than the old trimmer, which is a plus if you’re carrying a bunch of supplies. The swing out arm is sturdier than the previous trimmer. The measurements are easy to read.
The only downside on the new Trimmer is that it lacks the blade storage on the underside of the trimmer. I loved that feature on the old trimmer because I always new where my replacement blades were. I will miss this. I guess I’m just going to have to be better organized about where I store them.
The new trimmer is $25, plus tax and shipping. The replacement blades will come in a four pack for $12. The blades will be available January 2020. I know that seems so far away, but the blade it comes with should last just fine until then. Click on the Order Online button on the right and you can have this shipped directly to you.
