One of the fabulous Coordinating Products released in February is the Sending Flowers Die set. I ordered the die thinking “oh that little circle of flowers will be cute”. And then it shows up and it’s H-U-G-E. Oh my goodness! This circle of flowers is super cute and it takes up most of the front of card.
So I did two different things with this die so I could layer it. I cut it first in the green and i was perplexed because it did not actually cut out the circle of flowers from the back piece. Instead it cuts the little petals around the center section, without actually cutting out the center piece. So I cute one layer in white so I’d have the background piece. I snipped all the flowers out of the white piece. I cut one out of the green, then snipped the card stock between each petal. The die set also includes all the little flowers so you can easily cut all the flowers to layer on the stems. I used glue dots to adhere the green circle onto the white background.
This card took a bit of time to figure out what to do with the layers when I had them. I guess I was a little thrown off-track when I realized that it just cut out the center panel flowers from a back ground piece rather than cutting out an actual circle of flowers. Still, it’s very pretty.
The background paper is one of the sheets from the Lily Pad pattern paper packs that’s available as a FREE Sale-A-Bration product. This paper is still available – get it while you can.
