Quick post today as we have lots going on this weekend between soccer games, birthday parties, and everything else. Today, I’m sharing my card from last night’s downline meeting. Each month, my Downline group gets together to discuss what’s going onwith Stampin Up, do make & takes, eat dessert, and swap new card ideas.
For this card, I saw an idea online using a monocrhomatic background and subtle colors that aren’t using associated with Fall. I think the colors work okay for this card. The yellow is reminiscent of Fall, but the sahara sand color reminds me of late Fall, after the leaves have fallen.
I’m still loving that Tin Tile embossing folder. If you buy only one thing from the Holiday catalog, make sure it’s this embossing folder. I will be really sad if this folder doesn’t get carried forward to the next Catalog. I’m debating buying a second one just so I have a back up in case this one ever breaks.
I used white baker’s twine on the tree and colored it with my Light Daffodil Blend marker. Why yellow? Well, the easy answer is because it matched the bit of pattern paper. The real answer is because of that song “tie a yellow ribbon…” as a sign of rememberance for someone. The baker’s twine looks like it might be fluttering in the wind.
Remember, cards can be sent for any occasion, not just birthdays or Holidays. Sometimes the best card is the unexpected one when you just want to tell someone you’re thinking of them. Get out your supplies this weekend and send someone you love a card. They will so appreciate that you remembered them.
Do you own the Stamparatus? If so, you’re going to want to check out our brand new accessories for it. We have a couple new products designed to give you more use from this product. We have grid paper which is specially sized to fit the Stamparatus. This ensures that your paper is straight before you stamp on it. Extra plates for when you have those really big projects that use a lot of stamps. And an extra foam mat to give you better results when you use photopolymer stamps.
