Well, I made it home from OnStage yesterday. I can’t believe it’s over already. It’s weeks of planning and then everything whizzes by in blur. We are up early in the morning and we go to bed very late. I am exhausted.
One of the best parts of OnStage is getting to meet up with friends from around the Country that you usually only see at these events. I wanted to have a little something for these ladies. I knew the mini pizza boxes would be perfect for this. They are big enough to fill with a couple pieces of chocolate, but not too huge that they are overwhelming to fill.
I haven’t had much of chance to use my Painted Autumn set so I knew this was going to be my go-to for these boxes. The sunflowers are stamped in both Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry, and then hand cut out. It is layered on top of the stitched circle, which is layered on top of the paper fan, which is layered on top of the scalloped circle. Then it’s all glued to the lid on the box. Here is a close-up view of the sunflower medallion on the front of the box. Here they are… all ready to pass out to friends. This is just a small token of appreciation for their friendship. I hope they enjoyed their goodies as much as I enjoyed making them.
A brand new product?!? Say what?!? Yes, the Stampin Blends markers are available to purchase starting November 1st. The Stampin Blends markers are alcohol based markers and they help you create beautiful coloring with shading. Check out the Orchid in this picture. It is stunning. You really get the depth of the flower with the lighter and darker areas. With a little bit of practice, you’ll have these markers mastered in no time.
