Til the end of the school year!
Is it wrong to be counting down already? Don’t get me wrong, I love the structure of the school year. But, the go-go-go schedule leaves me completely exhausted. I feel like I need a ribbon that says “I survived the first month of school’s parent meetings, open house, team meetings, and the first fundraising for the year.” Hmmm… that’s a lot for one ribbon.
I gotta give credit to those who do this year after year after year… the teachers! Hooray for you brave souls willing to take on our kids for nine months. I applaud you. You deserve the best.
What better way to show those teachers some love than with a handmade card showing your appreciation. The Harvest Hellos stamp set is perfect for this since apples seem to be the symbol for teacher appreciation. And don’t forget that the pumpkin punch also works for the apple stamp in this same set.I used the Buffalo Plaid background stamp for this card. I find I get better results when I use my Stamparatus with background stamps because I can re-ink it and stamp it again if I don’t get good results. I kind of like the shabby plaid look here though. It reminds me of worn notebooks.
My kids are on the older side now so I don’t send teacher appreciation gifts like I used to when they were in elementary school. I was always happy to donate to the gift from the class because we could get something really nice. Some years I felt like I probably owed them a bottle of wine too if it was a particularly long year. 🙂 When is your favorite appreciation gift for the teachers in your life?
And if you’re a teacher, I’d love to hear what the funniest gift is that you received. Comment below so we can all have a chuckle.
