Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are doing something really fun for you. We are “casing” another team member’s past project. We are selecting a team member’s project that inspires us to make something similar. Today I’m casing a card from the very talented Anke Heim using the Submarine Life stamp set.
This stamp set includes the submarine, and number of fish and aquatic animals, plus waves and lots of other ocean things. I love these cute scene-builder type stamp sets, but I sometimes struggle to use them because building the entire scene is a lot of work. I will usually end up moving things around over and over again until I find just the right look.
That’s why I cased this particular card from Anke – I could build a scene on a much smaller and simple scale. If you’d like to see Anke’s post containing this project, you can click on this photo and it will take you to that post on her Blog.
And this is my Submarine Life card using the same layout and most of the same colors. I still have the clean lines that Anke has in her card, but I stretched my images across all three squares to better tie them together.
I think for my next Submarine Life card, I’m going to tackle building that underwater scene with lots more fish.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about how to put this together, just let me know. You can click the link below and it will take you through your Hop today. As you go through the New at SU Hop, be sure to leave comments on each page in the Hop letting us know what you liked.

Great card! I love how you made yours have motion by using the 3 separate squares! Perfect way to CASE the original.

Diane, this is just the cutest card, and I love the idea of cutting down on the scene building element by using the three panel set up! It’s so clever!
