Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing products from the new 2021-22 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog.
This month we thought it would be fun to share something a little different. We’re highlighting different “fun fold” cards. So often we tend to make the same style of card over and over. But, there are so many different styles and types of cards you can make. Today I’m sharing a Z-fold card. If you’re not familiar with this type of card, they are relatively easy to make, but just take a little more time.
The card base itself is folded into a Z shape. Then a front panel is added in a Z shape as well. The two Z panels are folded opposite each other. The base is a backwards Z and the top panel is a forward Z. Here is a view of the top of the card so you can see the Z shape.
Here is the front of the card, folded to fit in an envelope. The nice thing about the Z-fold card is that it fits in our standard envelopes.
And this is the full card open. My little Puffins are all dressed up and ready to have a birthday party. They look pretty excited about the cake too.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about how to put all this together, just let me know.

This is perfect, Diane – not too hard to accomplish, but those Puffins are sooo cute!! They just steal the show, and you did such a great job of colouring them in!

Your card is an example of using and placing all the elements in the right way! I love how all those funny birds are going to that cake, that is strategically placed. So fun!

Be still my heart ! How cute are these puffins. And the Pale Papaya is the perfect colour to highlight the puffins.
