Today I have a couple more sneak peaks of the upcoming Party Animal Suite in the new Occasions Catalog that begins January 4th. Both of today’s cards use the Balloon Adventures stamp set and Party Animal pattern paper.
For my first card, I wanted a bold watercolor background. Using a sponge, I inked our Watercolor Wash background stamp in Crushed Curry on one side and Pacific Point on the far side. Then I used Emerald Envy in the middle to blend the two colors together. After my stamp was inked, I sprayed a very light mist of water over the top to help it blend together.
I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and then heat embossed using Gold embossing powder. The front panel is mounted on both the Metallic Gold paper and the Party Animal paper. The party hat trinket is tied on with the Metallic Gold Thread and a couple gold stars were added to the card as well.
My next card focuses on the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlets. These Thinlets were designed to be used to make a pop-up for the inside of card. Instead, I used it here to make a shaker card. You can see that I stamped and punched the balloons and added them to the front, rather than trying to stamp it just right inside the balloons in the die.
I have to say that I am in love with our new Foam Adhesive Strips. They are perfect for making these shaker boxes. I filled my shaker with gold sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim and card stock pieces punched using the Sprinkles punch. 
I did a light watercolor wash on the outside frame of the shaker. The Emerald Envy ribbon was adhered to the card front before I added the shaker portion.

Just a quick word about today’s Supply List. The Party Animal Suite of products have not been added to the Program yet that generates these. I’m sure they are working on getting it added to the system, but there are a lot of brand new products coming and these things take time. Be patient. You won’t be disappointed.
