A couple years ago, I made this stand to hold a small Spring wreath. And every year when the Holidays roll around, I think to myself “hey, I should make a Winter wreath”. Well, I finally got around to it this year.
The wood wreath is from a local craft store. I used the Sprig punch from the Holiday catalog to make all the greenery, using four different colors of green. The Sprig punch has been super popular and has been in and out of stock for weeks. As soon as Stampin Up gets a shipment, they sell out. Good news though, the punch is not retiring at the end of the Holiday Catalog this December.
The banner is stamped with the Buffalo Check Background stamp. The banner is wrapped around the wreath on the one side and is glued down using a hot glue gun. Anytime you’re making a home decor project like this, you’ll probably want to use a hot glue gun.The poinsettia flower is punched using a retired punch, and the ribbon is also retired. I tend to hang onto my retired punches because I do continue to use them in my crafting. Such a simple project, but it is sure lovely.
If you’re wondering about the stand, it’s actually a desktop chalkboard stand that I added a hook to the front. The hook is a repurposed antique spoon that had been reshaped into a hook. It certainly makes this a unique stand. And it’s the perfect size for these small wreaths.
Oh my goodness! Guess what’s now available. It’s a tote bag for your Stamparatus. And it is beautiful. There is plenty of pockets inside to hold your Stamparatus, some extra plates, and your grid paper. You are going to love this tote bag. This bag will be available now and it’s $29 (item #149695). If you’ve been waiting to purchase the Stamparatus until the tote was available, you can buy both as a bundle for $78 (item #151961).
Good news! Since we had several items in the Holiday Catalog sell out much quicker than anticipated, Stampin Up brought back the Dashing Along Pattern Paper. Available while supplies last. Get it while you can. Item #149903.
