Merry Christmas!

Oops, I mean happy First Day of Fall.

Now that it’s Fall, it’s the perfect time to start sharing more Christmas cards. I know it seems crazy early, but if you plan to make your Holiday cards, you need to start your planning and prep now.

Even though I’m game to start sharing Holiday cards, I was worried that the bright traditional red and green colors might be a little much since people are still enjoying their pumpkin lattes. So I’m kicking it off with some non traditional colors: pink and gray and just a smidge of green.

Today’s card uses the new Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating punch. This stamp set contains a variety of tree images, but I think the plaid is my favorite. I kept this card relatively simple so you could easily duplicate it and make a lot of them in a relatively short amount of time.

The circles are die cut and then embossed using the Scroll Embossing folder. I honestly think that was the most complicated part of this card. Here’s a tip, when embossing a shape like this, pay attention to how you glue down your circle. I made sure my scrolls are straight up and down, rather than offset slightly.

Then a bit of ribbon is glued to the green pattern paper and both are glued down to the circle. A couple of the Holiday Rhinestones are added to add a bit if sparkle to the card.
