June Paper Pumpkin Revisited

A few weeks ago I shared the June Paper Pumpkin kit made per the directions in the kit. You can see it here. Today, I’m sharing an alternate project idea for that same kit. This adorable shadowbox was made by one of my downline, Lyndi. I really try to share only my own projects here, but this was really too good not to share it with all of you. Lyndi did an amazing job on this shadowbox.

Here are the dimensions for this project so you can recreate it on your own. The shadowbox is 8×8″. The squares are spaced .50″ from each other. I’m betting she used a ruler for the spacing, because everything looks right on, which makes my little OCD heart happy.

The dark brown squares are 2×2″. The smaller squares on top are 1.75×1.75″. Lyndi cut down the notecards and used those for the 1.75″ squares. Each square is embellished with die cuts from the kit. I love how some of the embellishments stick out of their 2×2″ box. It really ties it all together. I hope you enjoy seeing alternate projects as much as I enjoying making them. I understand completely that not every kit suits everyone’s taste. If you’re not excited about a kit as is, you should definitely change it up and make something else. You can alter it just a little, or a lot as you see here today.
