Around here, February is birthday month. We have three family birthdays this month, in addition to several friends with birthdays. I’ve been busy making birthday cards like crazy lately. This one is a z-fold card design using the super adorable Birthday Bonanza Suite of products. I went all out on this one because I wanted to use so many of the cute images, dies, and paper from this Suite. This image below gives you a better idea of what a z-fold card looks like. Both the top section and the bottom section are scored in half. Then, you score one side in half again. When you glue them together, the long halves are glued to the opposite short half.
I love the little lion in this stamp set and I’ve used him several times. I love that the dies cut out the mane and the face separately. This makes it so easy to assemble the lion. I do need to get out the other critters and give them a chance to show their stuff. Those fun banners are from the coordinating die set. The balloons and presents are part of the stamp set. To make the presents, I cut squares of pattern paper and then stamped the black bow across the top.
I still have a few birthday cards to make in the next couple weeks so you’ll see a couple more. I’m limited on supplies right now because most of my craft studio is packed up in a pod waiting for all the construction to be done. I did keep out a few things though.
I predict I’ll have some crafty time this weekend. So Monday… I’ll be back with another project. Yay, me!
