When I graduated college 20+ years ago and started looking for a “real” job, little did I know where it would take me. Needing full time work and unsure how to go about finding just the right job, I signed up with a Temp Agency. I interviewed at a Company within a few days and they asked me to start right away. Within a few weeks, they offered me a job.
I stayed with the Company for a number of years. We celebrated weddings, babies, and so much more. Eventually, one by one we all left the Company for various reasons. We’d become such good friends that we tried to stay in touch with each other. Then a major cancer scare made us all realize how fragile life can be. We decided that we wanted to do a better job of maintaining our friendships and started meeting for dinner once a month. And more than sixteen years later, we’re still in close contact and meeting for dinner once a month. Here is most of the group this past Wednesday, celebrating Christmas. 
And here’s all our kids, minus one who couldn’t make it. Evan is the oldest at almost 17 years, and Audrey (not pictured) is the youngest at 17 months.
Seeing the kids grow up together has been amazing. It shows how much time has passed, even though it doesn’t feel like it’s been a couple decades since we all first met.
A few years back, I made Christmas ornaments for each of the ladies and passed them out at Christmas. I thought it was just going to be a one time thing. Five years later, I’m still making ornaments for them each Christmas. I do label and date each year’s ornament so we can remember which one is from what year. Here is the 2016 Ornament.
This is made from one of those plastic globe ornaments that you can buy at a craft store. It’s hard to tell in the picture but the ski lift and the house and little tree are all popped up on dimensionals to give it added dimension. I added Mica flakes to the inside of the globe to make it look like snow.
Last night after I passed out the ornaments, we reminisced about the past ornaments and I decided to photograph all of them so I could share them here.

Every year the ornament has been different, but you can tell I like making the globe ornaments since I’ve done those the last couple years. š I love all the layers in the globes. It looks like a little 3D scene. I wonder what next year’s ornament will look like.
