I’m a busy mom. I run a Stampin Up business and I work full time too. I have busy teenagers. As it is, it’s hard enough for Frannie (#bestassistantever) and I to find time for our staff meetings. Here’s a picture from our last one a few weeks ago and it’s seriously been too long. What does all this mean? It means I can do one of two things… focus on all the things I wished I had time to squeeze in or focus on what I can realistically do. I’m choosing to focus on what I can do. Take volunteering for example, I may not have a lot of time to volunteer at our local Ronald MacDonald House, but I can certainly carve out a few hours to help make treats for our local house. I really, really love doing this. It’s a way I can do something for the house visitors, even though I don’t have hours and hours to be at the house.
At our Downline Meeting this month, we spent some time making up these adorable Valentine’s treat boxes and filling them with candy. I gotta tell you, these little boxes turned out so stinkin’ cute. I love these adorable animal images from the new Hey Love stamp set.
Some of the card stock we used is not Stampin Up. If you’re making these with Stampin Up card stock, use these colors: Crump Cake, Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Real Red. We also decorated the sides and back of the boxes with a variety of red and pink pattern paper, some of it is retired so I didn’t want to show it here in the picture.
What is one thing that you wished you had time to do? Think about ways that might be something similar that you can do now. And then do it! Focus on the positive and your load will be a little lighter.
Be sure to check back on Monday… I will have my class schedule up for the next couple of months.
