Okay, I’m a little behind in sharing the last few Paper Pumpkin kits and they were amazing. I shared the November kit on Wednesday and today I have the October kit. The October and November kits were marketed to coordinate together and they sure do look great together.
October’s kit was these amazing shaker cards. There was enough supplies in the kit to make 10 cards total, with five of each of two different designs.I love that the trees and snowflakes in the one card and the pine branch and ornament topper were already preprinted. It made assembling these kits so quick and easy.If you haven’t made a shaker card, they can be a little tricky to put together. I start by taping down my acetate sheet to the back side of my opening. Then I use my foam strips on top of the sheet that is going to show through the opening on the front of the card. For this particular set of cards, I assembled all of them in steps. Once I had the foam tape set, I filled up each little “cup” with the sequins and stars. By filling all of them at the same time, I made sure that I didn’t run out of sequins and stars before I got to the end. Then I placed the front of the card over the top of the little cup, gluing it down.
Even a card that’s as complicated as a shaker card can still be made in five minutes when everything is pre-printed and pre-cut for you. If you missed out on this kit, it’s not too late to sign up to start receiving the kits in January. To get an ongoing subscription, click the Paper Pumpkin link in the left sidebar.
