Five Minute Friday – Foxy Friends

We are celebrating around here because school ended yesterday! Summer starts today! To be honest, towards the last couple weeks of school we are counting down the days and hours til the end. My kids are awesome students, but they I cannot wait for the exams, homework, and projects to be done. A big thank you to all the teachers who did not assign huge reports the last two weeks of school. And to those that did – really? Anyway… on to the fun stuff.

I could play with the Foxy Friends stamp set for hours. However, since it’s Five Minute Friday, I had to come up with something quick. With all the stamping and die cutting, this is pushing the five minute mark. But it is so worth it!

I started with stamping the squirrel. Then I masked off the bottom edge of the squirrel and stamped the tree trunk. The face stamp is two separate stamps: the base, and all the features. Then I punched out the face and added it to the card with a dimensional. The White square and the scalloped black square were made with the brand new layering square framelits.

Look at this cute little squirrel sitting on a tree stump. He’s smiling because he hopes you’re having a great Friday. I know I am because summer has started!
