Deck The Halls

Did you know there are only 12 more weeks until Christmas? I know, I can’t believe it either. It seems to come faster and faster every year. I’m trying to be better this year about getting more things done earlier. We’ll see if I can keep up the momentum.

This coming weekend, I’m working at a Holiday Boutique and I’ve been busy trying to get lots of goodies made for the boutique. One of the items I’ll have for sale is this cute wooden plaque.

The plaque comes from a local craft store with this really pretty distressed painted look. I quickly found that stamping on distressed wood doesn’t look so hot. I pulled out our pack of Wood Textures paper and found a sheet almost identical to the actual wood plaque. Stamping on paper is so much easier.
Once I had stamped the “deck the halls” and the ornaments, I glued the sheet to the front of the wood plaque.

I used two of the Green Sprigs and tied them together using green floral wire. Then the ornament is tied to the Green Sprigs using our Silver Metallic Thread. Once the bow is glued on, you can’t even see the green floral wire or the Silver Metallic Thread. I recommend using a hot glue gun to glue the Sprigs to the plaque and the bow to the Sprigs.I am seriously in love with these tiny silver ornaments. I know they are on the pricier side for an embellishment, but they really make these plaques so cute.
