If you’re a crafter, you’re going to love the brand new Crafting Forever stamp set that will be available June 1st. This is one of the stamp sets that I received at OnStage last month and it speaks to my heart. I completely agree that Crafting is forever and housework should be whenever. I would much rather spend my time making something for someone rather than cleaning toilets. Okay, bad example. That’s probably everyone’s least favorite chore.
Today’s card uses the pot of paint brushes from that stamp set. I love this image. It reminds me of my grandmother who used to paint. She always had a bunch of brushes all over her table. I colored the pot and brushes with my watercolor pencils and aqua painter. The aqua painter works great with watercolor pencils because it holds the water inside the brush – no need for a separate cup of water. 
I decided to fussy cut the image. Leaving it on the white didn’t give enough contrast between the Smoky Slate background and the pot. Cutting it out really gives the image a 3D look. The Pattern Paper is from the A Little Foxy paper pack, which is retiring in just a couple weeks. This pack is a mix of cute patterns. Make sure you grab it before it sells out.
So next time you’re trying to figure out if you should make something or grab a broom, just remember Life is too short to spend it sweeping floors. (Disclaimer: occasionally you will have to sweep the floor instead of craft. Just make sure that’s not your only focus.)
