If you read Wednesday’s post, you know that the last month has been a regular three ring circus here, complete with flying monkeys. Okay, maybe not really flying monkeys. Seriously though, if there had been flying monkeys, I probably would not have even noticed for all the other things.
You see, I have this habit of over-commiting. I seriously don’t want to miss out on anything so I try to do everything. Sometimes I can juggle pretty well. And sometimes not. I reach a point where my brain is full. I just can’t squeeze in one more thing. (Did I mention that my showerhead broke Wednesday evening not one hour after the plumber fixed the leaky toilet?)
Back to over-committing… this Sunday I’ll be working at The Little Barn Holiday Boutique. I know! I’m crazy for signing up to do this when I have so many other commitments this month. But, I love doing these events. Oh my goodness, talking to people about crafting is my all time favorite. It makes my heart go pitter-patter.
This Boutique is hosted by one of my co-workers and most of the vendors are my co-workers too. Everything is handmade by us, except for the LuLaRoe vendor. You almost can’t have a Boutique without LuLaRoe because their leggings are so popular. 🙂
Today I’m sharing another product that I will have for sale at the Boutique. This is a coffee candle holder. The box is sized perfectly to hold both the coffee scented candle and a gift card for a local coffee establishment. You can see the gift card here slipped underneath the ribbon. The candle holder does not come with the gift card. I want you to be able to supply your favorite location’s card. Once I had all the measurements figured out, it was fairly easy to make up a bunch of these in different colors and patterns.
Here is the pattern for these boxes. The dashed lines are score lines and the solid lines are cut lines. All tabs fold in and adhere on the inside of the box. You’ll notice on the front of the box, the two outside corners have a very small notch cut out. This is to ensure that when you fold in the tabs they don’t show over the top of the front flap.
The pattern paper that wraps around the base of the box is 1 1/8th x 12” long.I love that these coffee candles look like mini frappucinos, specially when you add a small straw. And even better is that they really smell like coffee drinks. My favorites are the mocha frappe and the salted caramel frappe.
If you’re local, you should definitely come to our Holiday Boutique this weekend. Check out my Facebook page for the location.
