Once again, I will be at the Just Crop Retreat tomorrow sharing Stampin Up products and make and takes. I look forward to seeing these ladies every month. They are just the nicest group of people.
Today I’m sharing one of my make and takes for tomorrow. This is a cute little treat holder that you can use for classroom treats, party favors, or co-worker treats. With the upcoming Holidays, I know that people want to get an early start on getting treats made. This is an easy to make project that won’t take a lot of time if you need to make a couple dozen.
The measurements for your holder are 2” x 7.25”. You’ll want to score your cardstock at 3.5” from each end. This should give you a .25” section in the middle which should be deep enough for your candy. After you’ve scored each end, punch out the top using the Decorative Tag Topper Punch. I insert my card stock just enough to punch out the end. The pattern paper measures 1.75” by 3”. The snowman is stamped on a separate piece of white card stock and then punched out. The hat is punched out from our Glimmer paper and then colored with the Dark Basic Black Blends marker.
I used Ghirardelli squares for my treat. I do use a glue dot to hold the treat in the holder. This way they don’t slide out before I have a chance to pass out my treats. They are just a bit wider than 2″ so the packaging does stick out on both sides just a bit. I checked several stores for the red Ghirardelli squares to match my treat holders, but discovered it’s a bit too early for Christmas candy in the stores. So, I went with the green chocolates and used green ribbon to match. Yes, I really did match my Ghirardelli squares to my project.
The Let It Snow Suite of products has been a lot of fun to create. I have a few more projects using this Suite that I’ll share in the coming weeks. Check back regularly to see what I’m sharing.
