So I’m a little behind getting out my thank you cards to customers that made a purchase in September. But, better late than never! Actually, I did mail them earlier this week. I wanted to give them a chance to arrive before I posted the card here. These cards are very quick to make, especially if you already die cut a bunch of these leaves and haven’t used them on other projects yet. The Jute twine is wrapped around the Crumb Cake … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – September Thanks

Five Minute Friday – Smitten
Tomorrow I'll be working at the Just Crop Retreat in Fullerton again. I can't wait to see all the ladies again. I enjoy spending the day with them and helping them with any stamping or crafting questions they might have. This card is going to be one of my Make & Take projects at the retreat. This is a quick and easy card that you could replicate for your own Christmas cards. The watercolor wash in the background is so easy to do … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Smitten
Gratitude
Today's card is my first Autumn card of the year. It uses a mix of new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog. I bought the Painted Harvest stamp set because of the gorgeous flowers. I think it's kind of funny that the first time I used this set, I didn't even use the flowers. The "gather together and give thanks" sentiment gives me a warm feeling. Isn't that what this season is all about? Gathering together with family and friends. And being … [Read more...] about Gratitude
Peace On Earth
It’s another fabulous Friday around here. We’ve got a busy weekend planned with a soccer tournament and hubby is home for the weekend. Gotta tell you...this living apart is hard. Hopefully, it won't be much more than a year or two. Last night was our Monthly Downline meeting. I know I say this every time, but I love getting together with these ladies. We may have started as Uplines and Downlines, but we are so much more than that. I love … [Read more...] about Peace On Earth
Last Week for Year-End Closeouts
I hope everyone had a lovely Holiday weekend spent with loved ones. We had a wonderful time and were were fortunate to squeeze in time with both sides of the family. We are finding that this is increasingly important as our parents age. And really, there is nothing like spending time with family. Today, I wanted to remind you that this is the last week for the Year-End Closeout Sale. And if there's anything from the Holiday Mini Catalog, that … [Read more...] about Last Week for Year-End Closeouts
Not enough hours in the day
Do you suffer from this too? The to-do list never quite gets totally done. I think if I had four more hours each day, I could get so many more things checked off my list. That full-time job really cuts into my crafting time. This is going to be a crazy busy week around here. I have three different Holiday events this week here at my house. I know... what was I thinking? I still have quite a bit of prep that I need to get done for the … [Read more...] about Not enough hours in the day
Five Minute Friday – Paper Pumpkin
In Southern California, we don't get a snowy winter unless you live up in the mountains. And chilly for us is when the temperatures drop below 70'. Seriously, I'm hunting down gloves when it gets closer to 65'. As a SoCal native, I love those snowy winter pictures that you see all over the internet. Let me clarify, I love the pictures of the snowy winter. I don't love being in the snowy winter. I think if I lived someplace where you had to … [Read more...] about Five Minute Friday – Paper Pumpkin
More Sneak Peaks…
Today I have a couple more sneak peaks of the upcoming Party Animal Suite in the new Occasions Catalog that begins January 4th. Both of today's cards use the Balloon Adventures stamp set and Party Animal pattern paper. For my first card, I wanted a bold watercolor background. Using a sponge, I inked our Watercolor Wash background stamp in Crushed Curry on one side and Pacific Point on the far side. Then I used Emerald Envy in the middle … [Read more...] about More Sneak Peaks…
