It’s time to start ordering your Halloween craft supplies, if you haven’t already. I love making small candy holders to share with family and friends. Our small 3×3″ envelopes are the perfect size for the individual M&M packs of candy.
I realize 3×3″ cards are tough because they are too small to mail in the United States. And, it’s such a small size to work with. However, they make an excellent treat holder if you need something relatively inexpensive because you need to make a lot.
This is a super easy project. I cut my pattern paper to 2×7″ to wrap around the envelope. I also cut a piece of our new Metallic Mesh ribbon at 7″ as well. If you look closely, you can see the Mesh ribbon on top of the pattern paper below.
As always, when making treat holders like this where you wrap your pattern paper around the holder, make sure the seam is on the front side. Your label will cover up the seam on the front and then the back side of your project still looks nice and neat.
Funny story, I had an open pack of the 3×3″ envelopes that I was using to make several of these treat holders. I didn’t realize until later that this is one of the older style 3×3″ envelopes. The flap on our current 3×3″ envelopes is straight across, not a point like the one above. Don’t be surprised that when you order these now, your flap will be straight across.
