(Belated) Happy Fri-YAY!

I’m so happy it’s finally Friday. We are down to the last couple weeks of school and I am counting down the remaining activities. The school year is like a marathon. If you can make it through the first 90%, you can make it to the end. But it’s that last 10% that you seriously feel like you’ve hit the wall and just cannot do one more banquet, team meeting, tournament, report, project, diorama, test. Dear Teacher, I can’t “school” anymore this year. Thanks from a worn out parent.

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, I know that Father’s Day is right around the corner too. I have had the Marquee Messages stamp set for about a year and I have used it a grand total of 0 times. Say what? How can that be? I know, shame on me. As I was looking through my stamp sets, trying to find something good for Father’s Day, this stamp set grabbed my attention. It’s big and bold, just like Dad.I started by stamping the full image on whisper white cardstock. Then stamped it again on Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist. By piecing it together on different colors of cardstock, it makes the image really POP (pun intended). The Silver Glimmer paper at the top and the bottom are pieces punched using the Badge punch. I actually punched out only one piece and then cut it in half to save paper.

To get the background, I added all the little stars and diamonds to one clear block and then stamped them all at the same time. It fills in that background nicely without being too distracting.

If you’ve made it this far into the school year, You Are Awesome! Just like my card. 🙂 I think I have to go register for another banquet. Or is it another summer camp? I can’t remember. Stick a fork in me, I’m done. Come find us in August when boredom has set in.
