Here's the finished card. The cardstock is Naturals White. I misted the entire background, and the two Newsprint flags. I die cut another piece of the Naturals white the Apothecary Accents die. Then stamped the sentiment "Life is a Daring Adventure" in Gumball Green. In real life, the diecut piece really stands out from the misted background. I also used the Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons - whoa, these are thick. And the new In … [Read more...] about Ta-Da!
Paper Piercing
Here's the second part of the card - piercing your paper! Here's what you'll need: The Stampin Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Pack, and the Paper-Piercing Tool. The Paper-Piercing Pack comes with three different template sheets with all sorts of shapes to coordinate with our dies and punches. You can see in the picture that it comes with a pre-printed outline on the template so you can line it up with your punched piece. I have it … [Read more...] about Paper Piercing
Misting
I really had a tough time with deciding how to present this card. Do I show you the finished card first, and then all the individual steps to make it? Or the pieces and then the grand finale being the finished card? I think I'll show you the "pieces" first, starting with misting. I LOVE being able to make my own mist in whatever color I like. I can make mists to match my Stampin Up carstocks, inks, ribbons, embellishments. And … [Read more...] about Misting

Postage Due
Found this card idea online, too. I believe on Stampin Up's Pinterest page. This was one of those sets in the catalog that I had to have. I had no idea how I was going to use it, but I know I NEEDED it. I hope I'm not the only one who does this. I stamped the main image in versamark on Naturals white cardstock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. Paired it with Pacific Point and Summer Starfruit. It's tough to see the white … [Read more...] about Postage Due
It’s Raining Men, Oops, I mean Flowers :)
I've been spending way too much timne on Pinterest. Yikes! Even my family can tell the glazed over look and ask, "are you pinning?". I was looking for some new ideas and found one almost identical to this one. I think the only difference is the patterned paper and the flower itself. I bought the new DSP Comfort Cafe when I got my new catalog and haven't had a chance to use it yet. And then I needed a flower to coordinate. I got … [Read more...] about It’s Raining Men, Oops, I mean Flowers :)
It’s a Reject
Ever make a card, look at it, and think, this isn't even worthy of the trashcan? I have. Well, this one isn't quite NOT worthy of the trashcan, but it's no winner, that's for sure! Sometimes, I have this image in my mind of what I think I want to use and the colors and embellishments, but they don't always translate to paper. Do you ever have this feeling? Thinking that everything you create should be a masterpiece? But, it … [Read more...] about It’s a Reject
