Today is the day! The first day of Stampin Up’s OnStage Celebration and we are celebrating Stampin Up’s 30th anniversary. Today, we kick it off with our CentreStage event. This is the party for Silver Elites and above. I am so excited to be a part of this group. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for my amazing customers that make purchases and my amazing Downline that choose me to be their Upline. Every single purchase you make helps my family and is very much appreciated more than I can adequately express. Your purchases help pay for things like homecoming dresses, club soccer, and college tuition. And it means so much to me that you choose me as your Demonstrator.
Stampin Up is rewarding us with a day at Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival. I think this is going to be the highlight of OnStage for me. Epcot is my favorite Disney Park. Yes, I love the rides and the “traditional” park. But I love experiencing the different cultures and Countries in Epcot. And the best part of today is that I get to spend it with my Downline and other Demonstrator friends. Say what? My Downline gets to go to? Well, sort of. Stampin Up arranged discount park tickets for those that want to spend the day at a Disney park. So we will all get to spend the day together enjoying Epcot, and then when the park closes my Downline will go back to the hotel and I’ll go to the Stampin Up hosted Dessert Party.
Today’s card is one of my swaps for OnStage. Whenever there is a Stampin Up event, we all trade handmade cards. It is amazing to see all the different styles and techniques. I use the swaps I collect for my displays at events and classes. This gives me a wide variety of cards to share with all of you.
I design my swap cards with the end in mind. I want something that’s easily duplicatable for classes. And I want it to be something a beginning stamper can do and have it look great. The most complicated part of this card is the watercolor wash on the background. Finding the right balance of reinker and water takes a little bit of work. You don’t want it too washed out (too much water), and you don’t want your “wash” to be too dark either (not enough water).
I used my Stamparatus to make these and it made is so much easier to stamp two dozen of these. And everything was perfectly lined up each time. If you don’t have a Stamparatus, you need to get one. I honestly think ours is the best stamping platform out there on the market. Ours has so many different things you can do with it. Once you have it and use it, you’ll wonder how you’ve lived so long without it. And now you can get accessories for it!
