This past Monday, I spent some time in my studio unburying my desk from the last of the Christmas crafting and cards. Then I pulled out all my supplies from the Holiday Mini Catalog and replaced with the new stuff from the Occasions Mini and Sale-abration Catalogs. It’s always a bit of a let down when the Holiday crafting is done. But, I know there are some really cute things coming and I cannot wait to get started using these new supplies. Seriously, I think this is one of the best Occasions Catalogs ever.
If you’re wondering how I have supplies from the new Catalog and the stuff isn’t even available until January 4th, it is available to Demonstrators now to purchase. In fact, I ordered my goodies on 12/1 and they’ve been sitting in a box just waiting for me. I kept them hidden away so I wouldn’t be distracted until I had all my Holiday creating completed. If you want to get your supplies before they are available to the public, we need to talk.
I am just a wee bit late getting out my November Customer Thank You cards. Although, technically it is still December so I’m still within that “next month” time frame. Originally, I wasn’t even going to order the stamp set So In Love, but I really liked the flower. And you can never have too many flower stamps. This card uses the Fancy Frost Specialty paper, which is retiring in just a couple days.
The Fancy Frost paper comes in Whisper White and I used a sponge to add three different colors. I covered the entire background in Blushing Bride, then I sponged a bit of Sweet Sugarplum all over, and then I sponged just a bit of Calypso Coral in just a couple spots. The Flowers are stamped in each of these three colors, and then I colored them in using my sponge to give it a soft look.
I love the fresh, warm look of these colors together. It reminds me that Spring will be here soon. Of course, here in SoCal Spring just means that it warms up to 70/75′ from 55/60′. I will say that 10′ difference below 70′ makes it quite chilly for us. I know…we have no idea what a real Winter looks like. I have seen pictures of it on the internet and I’m quite content to sit here in SoCal avoiding it. For those of you stuck in a real Winter, I hope it’s as beautiful as the pictures. 🙂
