In Southern California, we don’t get much in the way of snowy Christmases. It is 94′ on Sunday as I write this and we are almost to the end of October. Don’t worry though… tomorrow it’s going to be 101′. Yay.
I found these adorable jars at a local store and they had a hardware kit to add a post to the top of the jar so you could add a picture or card. Our Memories & More Christmas set was the perfect size to top these jars. We are not doing a lot of “dashing through the snow” here. But it’s fun to picture a giant snow bank and snow covered trees.
Inside the jar, the tree is hot glued to the base of the jar. Then the snow flakes are added to the bottom of the jar. The snow flakes are loose and move around. I glued a small strand of our Mini Tinsel to the tree for a little extra sparkle. For the third jar, I strung three of our Mini Ornaments on our silver metallic thread. Then I hot glued the thread to the inside of the jar lid at varying lengths. I also added some of the snow flakes to the bottom of this jar as well. These jars on the smaller side, about 2.5″ diameter and 4″ tall. They make the cutest little addition to your Holiday decor.
I made these for the Little Barn Boutique a few weeks ago. The Merry & Bright sold and I still have the Dashing Through the Snow and the Ornaments available for sale. If you need a gift for a friend or want to add it to your personal collection, just let me know.Merry Patterns Host promo is offered through the end of this month. Spend $300 or host a party totaling $300 or more (pre-tax, shipping) and you will get the Merry Patterns stamp set for free. This is a limited edition stamp set and the only way to get it is this promo this month only.
