Today, I’m joining The What’s New at Stampin Up Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with exciting ideas to share with you. Today we will feature products from the Holiday Catalog. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.
For today’s card, I used the Come To Gather Suite. I love the name of this Suite as it’s very fitting for the Fall season. This is the time of year we gather with our family and friends to celebrate just being together, to share our blessings, and to be thankful for each other.
I wanted the focus on this card to be the gorgeous Pretty Peacock colored pattern paper so I kept everything in this same color tone, and just added in some neutral colors with the ribbon and the wood feathers. Even though this bright blue color may not be a typical Fall color, the bright jewel tone is perfect for the season.
To make the notch on the side where the ribbon is, I used two different circle punches. The larger 1.5″ circle punch is used on the top layer of pattern paper. The smaller 1.25″ circle punch is used on the middle card stock layer of Soft Sea Foam card stock. I added a couple of the Holiday Rhinestones to add a bit of sparkle.
With leaves starting to fall, Autumn reminds us that everything has a season and everything eventually changes. This reminds us how important it is to embrace the present and be thankful for what we have.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about the pattern or how to put all this together, just let me know.
