On Monday I shared the Christmas Gifting Tag Kit. The kit makes nine tags. But what do you do with the leftovers if you don’t use all nine tags? You could save them for next year. But why not go ahead and use them now to make a home decor piece?
At OnStage a couple weeks ago, one of the ladies shared a lovely project using this small wreath with the trees and the lights. I asked her where she found the wreath and she was kind enough to tell me. And, the store had them available online to ship. Hooray!
I used pieces from the tag kit to make the banner. I trimmed the tags so they would fit better in the wreath. Then I added vellum behind the openings in the tags so I could add my letters to the center. Then I added some of the punch out pieces and more ribbon to the side of the trees.
I would say the wreath is about 10″ in diameter to give you an idea of the size. As I mentioned, the wreath came with the trees and lights already attached. The lights have a battery pack. I was able to hot glue the battery pack to the back of the wreath so you wouldn’t see it while it’s hanging.
I’m really pleased with how this project turned out. Plus I was able to use up some of the extra pieces in the kit. What do you do with your extra kit pieces? Do you try to use them as quickly as possible? Or do you save them until you find just the right project? Comment below!
