I Had This Lion Around

I just realized we are now more than halfway through the month of January and Valentine’s is just a few weeks away. I’m trying to get some projects made quickly to share with you.

One of my favorite products from the new Occasions/Spring Catalog are these cute heart-shaped tins. These tins are food safe and you can bake in them. I filled mine with candy since I didn’t really have time to do any baking this weekend. I decorated the top of the tins with one of the doilies. The doilies come red and pink in the package, but all the backsides are white, which means you’re really getting doilies in three colors. The gray arrow is hand cut out, but the heart punch is one of the brand new ones in the Catalog and it’s the perfect size to go with the doilies. The pink banner and the lion are from the Birthday Bonanza Suite. The little lion is just the cutest! This is a stamp set for which you definitely want the coordinating dies. The lion and the mane are two different stamps and dies. And, when you die cut the lion body, it die cuts the head out too so you can layer it on top of the mane. The lion’s eyes, nose, and mouth are a separate stamp to make it easy to stamp.

The tiny heart the lion is holding is also from the Valentine’s stamp set. Our epoxy hearts are just the right size to cover these small hearts. He’s just the cutest little guy giving you his heart.
