I usually try to share gift and card ideas before the actual date so you can have a chance to recreate them for your own gift-giving. However, I had to hold the pictures of my Mother’s Day gift for my mom until after I gave it to her. I’m sure you understand.
I think one of the prettiest Suites in the upcoming new Catalog is the Magnolia Lane Suite. This Suite has a gorgeous stamp set and coordinating dies, fabulous pattern paper, and lovely notecards and embellishments to match.
Today’s card shows off some of the lovely magnolia paper. Keeping the card simple, I used one of the stitched rectangle dies for the sentiment and lightly sponged it with Petal Pink ink. The magnolia flower was stamped with Memento Ink and colored using Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Blends markers. I did not color the entire flower in Petal Pink. I left the tips white to match the pattern paper. 
I know my mom loves flowers, but sometimes the real ones don’t last very long. Using the coordinating dies, I made her some magnolias to go with her card and these will last forever. The die set has petals in varying sizes so you can layer the petals. For the large flower, I used the new Balloon punch to make the largest petals on the bottom. The large petals are overlapped quite a bit so they are more in scale with the rest of the flower. I used one our daubers to add just a little bit of Daffodil on the center areas of the flower. The leaves are stamped and colored with the Mossy Meadow Blends.

The Magnolia Lane Suite is going to be high on everyone’s shopping list when the new Catalog starts on June 4th. I won’t be surprised if some of the items sell out quickly. Rest assured they will be back in stock as soon as Stampin Up can manage it.
