I love the products in the new Butterfly Bouquet Suite and couldn’t wait to use them. My first project is a home decor piece. This is a 2×4″ block of wood that’s about 12″ long. I actually got it at a local store and then painted it white.
I used the Blushing Bride metallic ribbon with a bit of the vanilla lace trim tucked just under the edge. Then I added a strip of the Natural Wood paper. This paper looks just like real wood, but it is super thin which means it is easy to cut. Then a strip of the pattern paper across the top.
The butterflies are colored using the Blends markers. And then I used some clear Wink of Stella over the top to add a sparkly layer to the butterflies. Unfortunately, the sparkle doesn’t photograph well so you can’t see it in the picture. Then finished it up with a smattering of the champagne rhinestones.
This project turned out so cute. I’m thinking of turning it into a kit. Let me know if you have any interest and I’ll see what I can do.
