After my post last week about Frannie being the #bestassistantever, I received a message from a friend wanting to know what was up because she’d never seen Frannie listed as “Employee of the Month” here at the craft studio. She was completely right and I realized I needed to fix this immediately.
Well, I now have an official “Employee of the Month” here at the 24-7 Inkspiration Studio. Since Frannie was the very first Employee of the Month, I thought it only fitting to have a party celebrating her big moment, complete with a party hat. Here she is posing for her big moment. She looks pretty excited, doesn’t she? Here’s a close up view of that awesome party hat that she wore for about 90 seconds. This hat uses the festive How Sweet It Is pattern paper from the new Occasions Catalog. If you have a pair of the fringe scissors, it makes a strip of fringe so quick and easy. I used tear & tape to tape the fringe to the hat.And it’s official. The Employee of the Month picture will now be hanging in the 24-7 Inkspiration studio. Next time you come to a class in the studio, you’ll get to see her picture.I just want to thank Annette for calling me out on my oversight. Frannie’s hard work should not have been overlooked for so long and now she’s getting the recognition she deserves. (I promise no dogs were harmed in the photography process.)
If you want to make a party hat for your dog, find a free pattern online and then trace it on to the backside of your pattern paper. I recommend using a strong adhesive like our tear & tape to hold it together. I added the ribbon to be able to tie it on to Frannie. Make sure to keep your ribbon loose enough that it’s comfortable for your dog to wear for about 30 seconds. Because really, they aren’t going to wear it much longer than that.
And now for some classes! I’m starting off with some card classes and Paper Pumpkin nights. I’ve also listed the date for my new Catalog Open House in June. You’ll want to save the date for this event.
