Today, I’m joining The What’s New at Stampin Up Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with exciting ideas to share with you. Today we will feature products from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared here.
Today, I’m using the Happy Birthday To You stamp set, which is one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. I have to be honest, this was not a stamp set that I was excited about. The cake really looked like a wedding cake to me. And it actually would make a great wedding cake on a wedding card. But, the more I saw it being used, the more I really liked it as a over-the-top, fancy birthday cake. I’m sold.
For my cake, I colored it in three different layers, the base cake layer and then two layers of flowers. And you know what? I didn’t even have to hand cut all those flowers. I purchased the coordinating Birthday Dies Set and it made it so much easier.
I love that the coordinating dies made this so much easier to make. And actually, the cake really did turn out beautiful. Almost good enough to eat!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about how to put all this together, just let me know.
