Today, I’m joining The What’s New at Stampin Up Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with exciting ideas to share with you. Today we will feature products from the Holiday Catalog. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.
My project uses some great new products combined with an older one. Last Spring, Stampin Up sold these Sweet Treat Cups in the Occasions Catalog. They were just the cutest little package so I couldn’t help myself from stocking up. I still have a small stash, which will likely be depleted by the end of the Holidays this year.
I knew the Snow Globe Scenes dies would be the perfect accompaniment to go with these cups. The dies in this set are just the cutest miniature scenes. What is it about tiny little dies that just make me smile?
I wrapped the outside of the treat cup with our Let It Snow pattern paper. For the lid, I cut a piece of card stock to cover the full lid. Stampin Up actually doesn’t sell a circle die to cover the entire lid so I had to improvise. I knew I needed my circle to be 3.25″ in diameter. I used my word processing program on my computer to make my template for me. I inserted a circle into my sheet and then scaled it to 3.25″ and printed it out. I cut out my template, traced it onto the card stock, and then cut out the card stock. So, if you ever need a basic shape (circle, square, rectangle, etc) of a certain size, use your computer to help you. It was so easy to enter the dimensions of the circle and print it. Oh my goodness! Just look at that sweet mama bear and baby bear. The bears, the trees, and the mound of snow are all dies from the Snow Globe set. The mound of snow is made using the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and the Ice Stamping Glitter. As I heat set the Puff Paint, I poured the Ice Glitter onto it and it stuck to it. The night sky is one of our pattern papers with some of the mini Snowflake Sequins individually glued down.
I can’t wait to tuck a little gift into this treat cup and give it to a friend. I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about the pattern or how to put all this together, just let me know.
