What’s New at SU – Be Happy

December 18, 2019 by Diane 7 Comments

Today, I’m joining The What’s New at Stampin Up Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with exciting ideas to share with you. Today we will feature products from the Sale-A-Bration and Occasions Catalogs. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.

Today I am sharing sneak peaks of both the Sale-A-Bration and the Occasions Catalog. I’m using the Honey Bee Bundle which coordinates with the Golden Honey Specialty paper. The Golden Honey paper is one of the free items listed in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. Every $50 you spend (pre-tax/shipping) earns you one FREE Sale-A-Bration item. And our Sale-A-Bration Catalog is filled with lots of great FREE items to chose from.

My project today is a “sampler”. Framed samplers have become popular lately with crafters. It’s a great way to show off individual stamped scenes and pattern paper in an artistic manner.

I absolutely love this free paper with the beautiful gold foiling in it. To maximize my use of it, I used the paper for four of the smaller squares. I added the mini Crushed Curry hexagons to the black paper with the gold hexagon pattern. The Detailed Bee Dies comes with this fabulous honeycomb shape. I used that as a mask to ink the upper right square, center panel, and lower left square. For the center panel, I inked just one bit at a time, then moved my die cut pattern down a bit, lining up with the previous hexagons, inked that section, and continued across until completed. To get nice even coverage while inking these squares, I used my sponge brayer.

The overall measurement for this sampler is 9 x 9″. The black and white striped paper is 8.5 x 8.5″. The six Crushed Curry squares are 2.5 x 2.5″. The layers on top of the Curry are 2.25 x 2.25″. The center section is 8 x 2.5″ and the center top layer measures 7.75 x 2.25″.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. If you have any questions about the pattern or how to put all this together, just let me know.
