Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing embossing products from the Stampin’ Up! Catalog.
I chose the Distressed Tiles embossing folder and paired it with the new Mediterranean Suite. The design in the folder matches the pattern paper in the Suite so well.
There are a couple different ways to add color to your embossing. You can add ink to the folder and then emboss your paper and it will give you a deep color on your paper. For my project, I used my blending brush and very lightly dragged it across the top of the paper after embossing it. It adds a soft color to the parts of the paper that are raised. You can see a close up of what this looks like below.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Embossing really adds another level of dimension to your project. If you have any questions about how to put this together, just let me know. You can click the link below and it will take you through your Hop today. As you go through the New at SU Hop, be sure to leave comments on each page in the Hop letting us know what you liked.
Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if you have any questions or to make a product purchase. I would be happy to answer any questions about products or the techniques shown here. This has me thinking of the tin-tile ceilings in vintage buildings…an elegant design I love seeing coming back! Your card has that classic feel, too.
